Nottingham Forest have moved a step closer to signing Ousmane Diomande. With earlier reports of the proposed transfer now receiving further confirmation, Forest and Sporting CP are understood to be nearing an agreement on the overall structure of the deal.

The two clubs are currently finalising the details of a transfer package worth around €40 million. Although the agreement has not yet been formally signed, negotiations are reportedly at an advanced stage.

Sporting have already prepared for Diomande’s potential departure by securing a replacement. The Portuguese club have agreed a deal to sign Ibrahima Ba from Famalicão, with the defender having already completed his medical.

Once the remaining details are settled, Diomande is expected to complete his move to Nottingham Forest. The transfer would represent a significant step for the defender as he prepares to join the Premier League, while Forest would add a potentially important new leader to their back line.

Sporting CP have all but completed the signing of Ibrahima Ba. The defender has successfully passed his medical and finalized all contractual formalities, leaving only the club's official announcement before the transfer is confirmed.

Ba joins Sporting from Famalicão in a deal worth €20 million, with the agreement also including a 20% sell-on clause that will entitle Famalicão to a share of any future transfer profit.

The move comes after an unexpected twist in the defender's future. Ba had been on the verge of joining French side Strasbourg, but the transfer collapsed after he failed his medical. Sporting quickly entered negotiations and ultimately secured his signature.

Sporting view Ba as the ideal replacement should Ousmane Diomande leave the club this summer. With Diomande heavily linked with a move away, Ba is expected to play a key role in Sporting's defense and could emerge as the club's new leader at the back in the upcoming season.

Juventus have reportedly made contact to explore a possible move for Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee. The Italian club are understood to have asked about the player’s availability and the conditions United would require to consider a transfer.

Juventus are currently negotiating for Randal Kolo Muani, but with those talks taking longer than expected, Zirkzee has emerged as a potential alternative. Having already played in Serie A, the Dutch forward is viewed as a suitable option due to his ability to lead the line and contribute effectively in build-up play.

Manchester United are believed to value Zirkzee at around €35 million to €40 million. The club could also consider different deal structures, including a loan with an obligation to buy or performance-related options, rather than demanding a straightforward permanent transfer.

No formal offer has been submitted at this stage. However, Juventus could step up their interest depending on how negotiations for Kolo Muani develop, while Manchester United are thought to be open to talks if suitable terms are presented.

Middlesbrough have officially announced the signing of Tottenham Hotspur youngster Will Lankshear. The Championship club have secured the highly rated striker on a five-year contract, strengthening their attacking options for both the present and the future.

The deal is reported to be worth an initial £10 million, with a further £10 million in performance-related add-ons. If all bonuses are triggered, the total value of the transfer could rise to £20 million.
